Cairnia employs an auction system for the use of buying/selling/trading items. Listed below are some commands used in the auction process.
/auction start QUANTITY PRICE INC TIME
This command may seem a bit daunting at first. However, it is actually quite easy to use.
/auction start QUANTITY PRICE INC TIME - Specifies the quantity you wish to auction of the item you are holding.
/auction start QUANTITY PRICE INC TIME - The price you wish to sell the item for in $pixels.
/auction start QUANTITY PRICE INC TIME - The amount which MUST be increased by each bid.
/auction start QUANTITY PRICE INC TIME - How long you wish for the auction to last for (in seconds)
Here's an example:
I am currently holding a diamond pickaxe in my hand. /auction start 1 500 25 120. The auction for 1 diamond pickaxe will start at 500 $pixels and increase by 25 each bid. The auction will last for 120 seconds (2 minutes).
Now that you know how to create an auction, let's take a look at how to bid on an item.
You see a diamond pickaxe in the auction for 500 $pixels. You can bid on this item in one of two ways:
- To bid on the item, simply type /bid. This will bid 500 $pixels + the minimum increment (in the above tutorial, it is 25 $pixels -- thus you bid 525 $pixels).
- To bid on an item with a MAX bid, type /bid AMOUNT MAXBID replacing AMOUNT with the amount you'd like to bid and MAXBID with the MAX amount of $pixels you'd be willing to part with.
